Champions of the West is a partnership between GenWest, the Western Bulldogs Football Club (WFNL), the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, and Women’s Health Grampians, with support from the Western Football Netball League (WFNL). Since 2022 we’ve been collaborating to promote respectful and inclusive cultures for women, gender diverse people, and girls in footy clubs in the west, and to harness the power of footy communities in the west to prevent gender-based violence.

The project aims to share messages that create inclusive, safe, and respectful sporting clubs and encourage a culture of gender equality to contribute to healthier communities and prevent gender-based violence.

Champions of the West is a project funded by Sport and Recreation Victoria under the Preventing Violence Through Sport grants program.

GenWest produced this zine and poster to distribute to players and clubs in WFNL during training sessions to promote gender equity.
