We can provide data reports for councils and community organisations.
We can provide information about numbers and types of clients and insights into different local government areas across the west.
Please note that we are not able to fulfil all requests. We will prioritise requests:
- from organisations that are committed to long-term family violence work
- that will have the greatest influence, e.g. using the data to advocate for family violence work
- that we can fulfil within our limited capacity

- Research partnership - request form
We can partner with universities to supply information and data.
Please note that we’re not able to fulfil all requests. We will prioritise requests that align with these criteria:
- GenWest has been involved in, or is able to inform the design of the research
- The project will assist GenWest achieve its strategic goals
- The nature and scale of GenWest’s involvement is clear and we can accommodate it
- The project minimises direct burden on clients/community members
- The researchers have expertise in gender equity, preventing men’s violence against women or responding to family violence
- The research is led or backed by a relevant centre or institution that has the capacity to act on and share research findings with the community and stakeholders
- The research is likely to result in:
- new knowledge that can directly inform programs and services that prevent or respond to violence against women, or promote gender equity and women’s health and wellbeing
- meaningful opportunities for clients, community members and staff to contribute their ideas, expertise and experiences
- An ethics application has been approved or is awaiting approval (we can’t share data until ethics is approved)
- There is a plan to share findings with participants, community members, GenWest and other relevant stakeholders
The more notice we receive, the more likely we’re able to respond. You can expect an initial response from us within two weeks.
